A series of banners for Sydney FC’s first ever A-League match. The first set listed some stats from the A-League’s predecessor, the National Soccer League: “After 28 seasons, 41 clubs, 2707(?) players, 5829 matches, 16159 goals & 13 champions. Farewell to the NSL”.
This was followed by “Welcome to the A-League”, unveiled along with a huge Australian flag pullover.
Another pullover, in club colours was then displayed.
An article in the Sydney Morning Herald on the eve of the match showed a photo of this pullover being made.
