A tribute to Cove founding member William “Doggadog” Duran, who passed away in January 2012.
The banners read “The passion, the tears and the glory. Sydney till I die. Rest in peace Dogga”.
Alex Brosque made a brief return from Shimizu S-Pulse to stand in Dogga’s seat at the back of the Cove during the minute’s silence.
After the opening of the upgraded Sydney Football Stadium in 2022, Brosque helped install Dogga’s old seat in the new stadium.
